Angie Lienert Named to the 2026 Women to KNOW in Maryland Class

| Neal Stein

IntelliGenesis President and CEO Angie Lienert, PMP, has been named to the 2026 class of Women to KNOW in Maryland, a distinction from KNOW Women recognizing women who are shaping the future of business, leadership and community impact across the state. Honorees are selected by a panel of previous honorees and community leaders, featured in the program’s hardcover publication, and celebrated at the Women to KNOW in Maryland Gala, held October 23.

Angie co-founded IntelliGenesis in 2007, and under her leadership the company has grown into an AI innovator delivering artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science and mission engineering solutions to the U.S. Government. A U.S. Air Force veteran and former Arabic linguist, she has built her career around advancing national security through innovation, while keeping workforce development at the center of the company’s mission.

That commitment extends well beyond IntelliGenesis. Angie is passionate about mentoring future leaders, supporting women in STEM and empowering the veteran community.

“My greatest influence isn’t one person. It’s the many people I’ve met throughout my journey,” Angie said in her Women to KNOW profile. “From military leaders and mentors to colleagues, family, and friends, each has shaped who I am and how I lead.”

For Angie, women’s empowerment means creating opportunities, building confidence and helping others realize their potential. “To me, it’s about opening doors, sharing knowledge, and ensuring every woman knows her voice matters,” she said. “I’ve been fortunate to learn from incredible mentors throughout my career, and I believe it’s my responsibility to pay that forward.”

She supports the next generation of female leaders by leading through example: creating opportunities, speaking up and being open about her own setbacks. “I don’t hide my failures. I learn from them, get back up, and keep moving forward,” she said.

Asked about the best advice she has ever received, Angie pointed to three simple words: “Believe in yourself.”

“It doesn’t mean you’ll always be right; it means trusting that you are capable, resilient, and enough,” she said. “Confidence isn’t about perfection. It’s about having the courage to take the next step, even when the path ahead is uncertain. Trust yourself, and keep going.”

Congratulations to Angie on this well-deserved recognition from the entire IntelliGenesis team.
